Windy and Hot

The air was dry, the wind was rough. The forecast was sunny with minimal clouds with temperatures hitting the high 80s. At first, I thought it didn’t seem ideal and after the first mile, I was right, it wasn’t. The wind was a treat until I had to run into it. The occasional tree helped to break the harshness.

As I begin to taper off, my runs become shorter, giving my legs time to relax but not rest. Today the goal was to run at a slight incline for a short distance. This appeared to be easy but mixed with the sun, this made it harder. Today I ran 2 miles, and it was great.

GG#4 gave me a great head high but also a lot of dry mouth. My tongue felt like sandpaper after the second mile as I thirst for water. I remembered to hydrate throughout the day, but I do not think it was enough. GG#4 kept my mind focused and calm. I did not feel any anxiety or stress, but I did feel happy and relaxed.
