Sunshine
The radiant sun shined brightly in clear blue skies. The air was cool with a slight breeze. The weather got to a glorious 72 degrees, and I couldn’t wait to get outside. I followed my pre-stretch routine and then drove to Mallard Lake where anxious and nervous feelings brewed. I started to get into my head and worry about my training. Today the goal was the practice high inclines for 2-3 miles which I achieved but I felt my pace was slow. I think that is my biggest challenge, my pace. Once I parked, took a hit of GG#4, stretched again, and did my pre-run I set off feeling calm and relaxed. I am not sure if it was the warm sun or the weed, but the stress faded, and I was able to get into a rhythm. I felt no pain, but I did feel a lot of dry mouth. The high lasted run and more. Today I ran 2.53 miles stopped for 30 seconds then ran 1.49 miles.
“Smoke a joint and enjoy the sun.”
