Outdoors Day 2
The summer sun sizzled as a dry breeze pushed me along the paths of Centennial Park. Today’s forecast called for sunshine all day with highs in the mid-80s. So, I laced up my Brooks, took a long hit of Runtz S1, and hit the pavement. I ran 2.11 miles, and it was harder than I expected. Transitioning back to running outside hasn’t been too hard but it feels that way. My legs feel heavy and getting to rhythm takes a long time. The warmer air makes it harder to breathe so I must take longer breaths.
Runtz S1 didn’t appear to work. I am not sure why I didn’t feel high. I purposely took a hit 15 minutes before my run in hopes to feel something, but I felt nothing. At the start of the run, I felt pain in my right ankle, but it eased shortly after. Additionally, I felt a little anxiety and a lot of dry mouth.
“Take one run at a time.”
