Mistakes

My schedule changed a few hours before my run. I learned that on Saturday there will be a half marathon hosted in the Busse Woods which will block the paths. So, I decided to run my 11 miles today instead of tomorrow and it did not go well. My mindset was to take it slow and enjoy the run, which I did, at first. When I got to my 5th mile, I stopped for 30 seconds and stretched then started to focus on completing my goal. But at the 7thmile, my mouth felt so dry it was hard to swallow. I had not hydrated properly before the run and was paying the price. I stopped again around the 8thmile as my back, legs, and neck started to hurt. After that, I ran and stopped on and off until I returned to my car. Mentally I felt defeated, but I know it was only temporary. Today I ran 9.90 miles, and it was tough.

GG#4 kicked in as I started my run. My mind felt calm and relaxed initially, but that ended at the 7th mile. As I said earlier, I felt pain in my legs, back, and neck. I felt a lot of dry mouth but that could be the lack of hydration, but I did not feel any anxiety.
