Back on the treamill

I am back but taking my time. Last week I went for a run with my fiancé, and everything appeared to go well but when I got home, I felt tightness in my left knee. This tightness continued for the next three days. So, I got off the horse and went into recovery mode. As I did more research, I learned that I have not been doing enough leg strengthening on my off days. So that is what I did, as well as using Tigers balm, Bio freeze, ice, and hot salt baths. I am not 100% but I am 75- 80% better. Truth be told I should have waited until I was 100% but I couldn’t sit still! Today I ran 2 miles indoors on a treadmill and it felt great.

The temperature in the gym was terribly warm with outside being in the high 80s. If you’ve read my previous post, you will already know that there is no air circulation in the gym. Even though this seems crazy to run in that type of environment, it was great for my body because my muscles didn’t take long to warm up. What was just as great was that my fiancé joined me!

As for the session, I took my time building up to a run and when I did, I still took it slow. My legs felt a little heavy at first but as I continued to progress, they felt light. I’m hoping for better runs in the next few days as I listen to my body and make adjustments.

Runtz S1 felt great while I was running. The hit kicked in about a mile into the run. My mind felt calm and relaxed. I was worried about feeling pain in my legs and I did but it was a gentle pain that eased after a few minutes. I did not feel any dry mouth or anxiety. I must remember to take a bigger hit when smoking from the Pax. It doesn’t kick in when I take a “normal” hit.
